Nominees will be assessed on demonstrated business achievements that advance the goals and objectives of their respective organizations. Nominees pay a fee for sponsorship of the awards event and use of the award logo in company marketing. A nominee must be employed in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, or York counties to be eligible. Nominee must be 39 years old or younger on October 18, 2023; may be nominated by self or another person; may not be a previous Forty Under 40 award recipient; must be an owner, partner, president, CEO, CFO, COO, or other senior-level executive or manager; and may not be a member of a judge’s immediate family. Only one individual may be nominated per company.

Companies will be ranked according to revenue growth over a three-year period, with both dollar and percentage increases taken into consideration. This ranking formula will lead to the recognition of both large and small companies. Eligible companies must have revenue of at least $500,000 in each fiscal year ending in 2020, 2021, and 2022; show revenue growth in 2022, as compared to 2020 (three years). Companies must be headquartered in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, or York counties. The FT 401 is based on data gathered from advisors, regulatory disclosures, and the FT’s research. The listing reflects each advisor’s status in six primary areas: DC plan assets under management (AUM), DC AUM growth rate, specialization in DC plans, years of experience, advanced industry credentials and compliance record. This honor is not indicative of the advisor’s future performance. Neither the advisors nor their parent firms pay a fee to the Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 401. For an adviser to be eligible for recognition in the 2019 Top 100, he had to submit a completed entry to our 2018 Retirement Plan Adviser Survey, which was fielded this past September. A sub-segment of the questions was used to determine eligibility for the Top 100.
